The W&L Policy Forum will take place at the National Union Building in Washington, D.C. on October 10-11, 2024.

Gather with fellow W&L alumni and community members for a forum exploring the intersection of politics, policy, and the private sector. Whether you are a professional in the field or simply interested in the latest policy discussions, this forum will provide opportunities to learn, connect and network.

Why Attend?

It’s a privilege to serve on the planning committee for W&L’s inaugural Policy Forum on National Security and the Economy. We are putting together some incredible panels on the hottest subjects in the NatSec space and I am looking forward to the discussions. W&L continues to lead the way when it comes to hosting topical events and preparing students for their careers.
— Jake Barr ’16 (Steering Committee)
National Security and Economy are bywords for uncertainty about the future. I always appreciated W&L’s commitment to facing the future with preparation and deep thinking. It’s right there in our motto.
— Naphtali Rivkin ’15 (Steering Committee)
The Washington and Lee experience doesn’t end after four years—the knowledge, shared experiences, and connections span careers and lifetimes. The Policy Forum showcases the commitment of current and past students to further developing our W&L community and having a positive impact on the U.S. policy landscape.
— Rachel Gallagher ’18 (Steering Committee)
